Dr Jen Townshend
I am a General Paediatrician with a Respiratory Interest at the Great North Children’s Hospital. I trained in the North East of England and New Zealand and completed a Canadian Paediatric Respiratory Fellowship in 2010.
I am the asthma lead for secondary level Paediatrics at the Great North Children’s Hospital. I am also the founder and chair person of BeatAsthma and continue to develop and promote this both within the region and nationally.
Outside of work I spend my time running around after my 2 children and am a keen cyclist.
Following BeatAsthma’s success, I was very happy to support the BeatAnaphylaxis team in creating this online platform. I believe that by working together we can improve the lives of all children who suffer with both asthma and anaphylaxis in our region.
