Dr Mairi Woodsford
Originally from Scotland, I trained in the North East and have been a Consultant in General Paediatrics at Northumbria Healthcare since 2011.
I developed an interest in paediatric allergy during my training, and set up the Paediatric Allergy service at Northumbria which is steadily growing. Since then I have completed a Masters degree in Allergy with distinction at the Univer sity of Southampton. I also have a strong interest in medical education and am conscious that we need to improve awareness and knowledge of allergy amongst health professionals.
I live in Newcastle, with my husband and son, and am a Girl Guide leader in my spare time.
