Charlotte is an 8-month-old infant who attends with a sudden onset blotchy rash, which developed after self-feeding (baby-led weaning) peanut butter on bread.
- The rash is widespread but is not itchy.
- It is the 3rd time that the rash has appeared in this way, but mum feels it is appearing more rapidly and is becoming more extensive.
- Mum herself has an allergy to fish and hayfever.
- Initial observations are: Saturations 99% in room air; pulse rate 110 per minute; respiratory rate 25 per minute.
